Title: Unbalanced fuel mixture?
Post by: crazyfish on July 23, 2008, 07:25:04 AM
Hey guys,

I put in two new plugs last week and the bike is running fine, but i pulled the plugs today and one looks much darker than the other. The right one looks perfect, but the left looks a bit dark. The pilot screws are exactly the same (and i i think that would only really affect iit at idle), what else could be causing the difference? sorry if its a bit of a newb question..

OK float level check ... and if your vacuum diaphragm has a tiny leak it will get fuel to the left carb via vacuum line.
Anyway I'd start with setting floats equal and then go from there. Other than these 2, clogged air passages, maybe a clogged fuel passage in the right but something else is over compensating for it etc etc.
Cool.
