Title: New Carbs, New Problems(pics)
Post by: SmithvilleFlats on July 25, 2008, 03:50:00 PM
I just bought carbs for my '93 from 7zark7 (http://gstwins.com/gsboard/index.php?topic=42628.0),
and they look like this

...as opposed to my old carbs which look like this

The difference being the nipple from the old carbs is missing on the new ones, and the screw in the new one next to where the nipple was is different.
It was an 89 engine, I think, so whats the deal?
What should i do with the vacuum hoses?

the screw is covered up w/ a pin plug on your old carbs, on the '93 set, it is ready to adjust the air mixture if need be.  As for the vacuum, the vacuum line from your frame petcock plugs onto  a  nipple on the inside upper left carb.
