I swapped bikes with my best friend this weekend and I was so surprised at the limits a stocker is capable of. I have been riding my racer around for more than a year now and I forgot how willing the factory version is. My friend was scared of my GS, and I didn't realize how different it is, but I was totally surprised at how fast I could get his bike to go - riding stock tires to boot. I would glance down at the speedo coming out of a posted 35 turn and see it creeping up on 65 mph without a hitch. Not as fast as I'm usually going, but at that speed it is more than entertaining. The riding position is like a lazy-boy after riding my bike with its GP style ergos. Maybe I'll have to get a stock GS for zipping around town. BTW it is a lot harder to lay a GS over in stock trim.
