Ok, So I bought a 1994 GS500e. The man who sold it to me rebuilt it and did a minimal amount or custom work. For instance he added the 89 split handlebars. Had is custom painted. New lights, and some minor things here and there to give it a little bit more of a sporty style. The only thing he did not get to do is find a windshield for an original after market front ferring. I am really in the market for one and if anyone has information about one for sale or on where I could look to find one I would really appreciate it. I willl add pictures so oyu can see the bike and I can get a part number on the ferring if necessary for size issues towards the windshield.
Thanks
Juice
Pics would help.
Hello new guy,
Just so you know, there is no such thing as a "ferring."
It's a "fairing."
And like the previous poster said, photos would help.
It sounds like you have the OEM Suzuki fairing?
Check some aftermarket windscreen makers, such as Gustaffson Plastics in Florida.
Their Web site:

You're welcome.
:)
I have a sv650 flyscreen on my gs. It looks ok, fits the profile of the bike, and keeps the wind off my chest.
They're relatively easy to find (ebay/craigslist/or here on gstwins) and cheap (around $40-60).
Give it a shot if you like. Here's a picture:

Is the fairing like mine?

If it's a Targa Fairing like mine, the windscreens are still available.A google search should turn up a online retailer that has them.If it's a Suzuki assessory fairing they are no longer made.
Hey boys (and gals, too),
Like I said, check with Gustaffson.
If they don't have it, then can often make it for you.
I'd try them and see what they can do.
They are windshield wizards.
:)
I'm sorry I spelled something incorrectly. I will spell it right next time. I will upload pictures tonight since I will be returning home from work.
I expect he means this one:

Bike bandit (when that fiche link is from) seems to think they have or can get the screen for $150.81 (ouch)
Part Number 519187-001
I have a similar factory cowling , don't love the heck out of it. But it's a 1989/90 model, which evidently uses a different (and discontinued - not available - 519186-001) screen. Depending on how antsy any inspection you might be subject to is, you could just pick up a sheet of plexiglas and try making your own - or make one from fiberglass, if you never get low enough to look through the thing (I sure don't on the one I have).

WOW! :o My dealer told me it was out of production, but my dealer lies a lot.
Something may be very well out of production, but still may be available because some companies still have them sitting on their shelves.
Maybe Bike Bandit just happens to still have some left.
Check around with other dealers (older, established ones especially) or at swap meets.
You never know. :)
