[THIS HAS SOLD]
I have a 1990 GS500E with 23,500 miles that I bought from a guy on here. Photos are at the bottom of the post. I've had it for about 3.5 years and it's always ran fine, but it needs some work now, and I don't have the time or energy to keep it maintained anymore. It's had problems starting since I got it, but it will always start if you spray a little starting fluid into the air filter. It could be something easy to fix, like cleaning the carbs, or it could be something bigger, I'm not sure. Last month we had a big storm and it fell over (it was on the center stand and the winds caught the cover). The muffler got dented, and the right handlebar broke off. I filled the tank and put fuel stabilizer in it because it's been sitting since then. I haven't tried to start it, but I'm guessing it will be fine after the muffler and handlebars are replaced. The Bhudda (who made the handlebars) has offered to re-weld them for the cost of the return shipment. There are some other small issues (a missing bulb, some scratches, rust on the swingarm, etc). One of the previous owners did a really crappy custom paint job on the tank, so I stripped it and painted it solid black, but some of that has worn or been scratched off. The title is clean.
I've got some extra stuff that you can have if you buy the bike:
- Brand new front tire.
- 2 month old bike cover, although it has a hole from the fall
- Hein Gericke sport jacket, large
- First Gear Kilimanjaro winter riding jacket, medium
- Rarely used gloves, medium
- Two helmets, older but never dropped/damaged
- Clymer manual
- misc cleaners, parts, etc
I think $500 is a fair price. Cash or money-order only.

I dunno who you bought it from, but those bars, I made them 4-5 years ago, and then I issued a recall on that first batch due to bad welds.
I estimated 2 bars hadn't been sent back to me for the fix.
You send them back and I'll weld it back and send it back to you.
Cool.
Buddha.
if you wern't half way across the US i would buy it but you shouldn't have any problem selling that
Glad you weren't on it when it busted.
Cool.

I wish I had the cash right now, I'd buy the bike right now and have it shipped straight to me. that thing looks like a cool one. WTF is that muffler off of btw? I know it aint stock.
@The Bhudda, thanks for the offer, but I've kind of run out of energy for the bike. I've got so much other stuff on my TODO list that I'm just selling it as is.
@bobthebiker, it came with the bike, so I'm not sure what it is.
I told a friend out in zainseville... He may be interested  ill let ya know :thumb:
Prolly gonna buy it from ya. Left a message for you on your phone. Pm me if you didn't get it or w/e. Thanks!
Offer extended to all future owners of this bike - For R/T shipping costs, it will be welded the way I welded the subsequent 100 bars, and hopefully 100 more in the next few months.
Cool.

Sothe srinbuddha bars are possibly commingback? :icon_mrgreen:
This is somehting my welder cannot weedle out of. He's committed to welding it. However, he always is busy in summer fixing trailer roofs. Winter is my time. Also this particular type of bar will only work on 90-00, I need a different one anyway for 01+. New everything ...
Cool.
Buddha.
The bike sold this morning. Thanks.
K you tell the new owner about us here over on gstwin.com ...
Anyway, he/she has the free weld option open to them.
Just so I am not having a conflict of interest being a mod and all, they are free to weld it where ever they please.
Cool.
Buddha.
@bhudda: Yup, thanks.
