Title: Help! weird new problem
Post by: franke3c on July 30, 2008, 07:19:21 PM
I have a '93 GS500. 40 Pilots, 140 Mains w/ K&N filter.
This bike was running fine as of 3 days ago. In these 3 days all I did was :

1) Relocated wiring electrical components in front of battery
2) Installed some ebay rear turn signals

So as it stands now, the bike rev in neutral just fine. However if I pull in clutch and put it into (any) gear and try to rev the bike bogs. If I switch back to neutral the bike revs okay again.
I also smell a lot of unburned fuel when revving in gear + clutch in.

I checked the plugs and the left side plug is black, and right side plug is white -ish
Both plugs are still getting spark.
I rechecked everything on the electrical side that I touched, and can't find anything wrong..

Any Ideas? ? ?

Thanks for the follow up!

Could you explain which grounding cable was forgotten? (maybe a picture?) I'm just curious... :)
