Title: 2004 GS500F: Owner / Service manual
Post by: idearat on August 01, 2008, 01:50:04 PM
Hi folks.  Bought an '04 F, it came with no manuals.  2 questions:

- Is the Haynes '89-06' manual available anywhere?  Seems to be out of print, and out of stock everywhere (amazon, barnes&noble, chapters/indigo here in Canada...).  Can't even find any on ebay.  (I'd like to order a manual via the link that supports this site, but that's the Clymer 89-02 book.  I know the changes have been minimal, but if I can find it I'd prefer one that covers my bike... fairings, minor changes and all.)

- Owner's manual: is there any value in having that as well?  I'm guessing there's little in there that isn't covered better in the service manual, but I haven't seen either...

Thanks!     ...Perry.

Doesn't Suzuki publish updated service manuals for their bikes?  If so, how to order.  I have an 08 to care for now.

No do not buy from them.. its actually false advertising.. it says in stock..then you will get an email saying its not in stock.. so they will ask you if you want to wait for it...   unfortunately i am still waiting.. its been about a month now..

I have an 07 GS will the Clymer GS500 Repair Manual be sufficient for me to use?  I am new to bikes and want to learn as much as possible about my bike and want to be able to do minor things on my own.
