On the west coast preferably and something reliable, thanks!
Test rode one yesterday, i love how they handle. But this one needed a bit of work, let me know what you think on its price:
it was a '90 with 37k miles, rebuilt carbs, new battery, almost bald tires, missing right faring and little rear piece, paint is terrible, it's been down, slight oil leak, no mirrors, more little things that would need fixing. He wants 1,000 what do you think?
90s have fairings :dunno_white:. sounds decent as long as it runs you can do the minor work yourself for real cheap. it will also force you to learn you bike front to back
Rear fender, sorry.

I think $1000 is high for that. Still staying under $2000, you should be able to find a much better example. ...then again, I might not know anything of west coast prices.
you can do MUCH better than that. hell the bike is 18 years old. check craigslist
http://sfbay.craigslist.org/mcy/ sf bay for example
where are you located?
I'm in San Diego and I got my GS a few months back, 2001 for $2k. It had 12.4k miles on it.

I'm in Reno and moving to LA in about a month.
A bit out of the way, but perhaps you could arrange a meeting...

Looks like a great bike and I'm actually going to ABQ in a few weeks, but $2500 is alittle too much for me.
If I can find cheap shipping, there are some bikes that look awesome in other parts of the US. Anyone know anything about shipping bikes?
yes, it can be a bit pricey
looks like I'll be just waiting, I really liked a bike in Michigan...
