Title: Midwest Discount Cycle Awesome Customer Service
Post by: nascarkeith on August 07, 2008, 11:46:30 AM
I ordered some floorboards for my Dad's cruiser.  I quickly got an e-mail that they weren't in stock and that I would be upgraded to a better set for the same price if it was ok.  Of course I said yes and within an hour I had a response saying that they were being pulled and that I would get a tracking number tomorrow.  You can't beat that.

Perhaps we should start a thread (eventually a sticky, if I works, I suppose) for reporting on experiences with vendors, whether awesome or awful?

Be good to have those all gathered in one place for review before ordering.

MAW - low prices, nearly impossible to find stuff on their website. Progressive springs (11-1128) are on close-out - about the same shipped ($62) as the eBay price before overly high shipping ($15).

Cycle Recycle Part 2 - poor communication, slow to ship, shipped wrong color grips (ordered red, got black). Has 5/16 (and other sizes) poly fuel line in stock, however, and at a "buy as many feet as you want" arrangement, rather than 3-foot-packs of 1/4 inch only. Get 2 feet of 1/8 and you can really use your carb drains, check float levels, etc. Their oil filters for the GS do NOT include the O-ring.

extrememoto.com - lowest price of places having HJC CL-15 helmet in stock in solid red, XL. Except they didn't actually have it in stock, but that only came to light after payment was made. Delayed about a week.  Newenough.com has a much lower price, but won't have them in that color/size until September.
