Title: I need pictures of front and rear foot pegs.
Post by: videosilva on August 11, 2008, 03:39:39 AM
I emailed some one concerning front and rear foot pegs for a 2007 GS500F and this is the reply I received

Thank-you for your e-mail and interest in our products. Please be advised that we do not have detailed information on this particular model but I am more than confident that we do have the correct hangar or fitting for this model. It will either be the type 8 and 24 hangars or the new type 57 and 58 hangars - for the front and rear sets respectively. Therefore you can purchase the pegs directly from us and to help identify the hangars required you can submit an image or two of your existing ones (preferably on and off the bike) and I will do my best to advise accordingly.I trust this information finds you well and is to your satisfaction.Should you require any further assistance then please do not hesitate to contact me at your earliest convenience.

can't find the pic i took after I took them of, sorry.
The connection is basically the same front and back, the back pegs are just smaller overall.

Hope that helps.

Oops. soory, didn't read the 2007 bit... Why don't you just go to your bike and make photos of your own pegs? :dunno_white:

So, are you telling me that the pegs are different for various years and that the F and E model are also different ?

No, I have to admit that I don't have a clue.
Don't have any high res pics of the F, but the 2001+ E looks like the pegs are similar, the F as well as far as the pixel heaps make it distinguishable.

Okay, just went onto alpha-sports.com:
The 2007 E&F have the same microfiche, i.e. they are identical. Although the foot peg fiche looks the same as the one for my 99 E, the numbers for the front pegs are different, the pillion ones are the same.

2007: http://alpha-sports.com/spst/2007%20GS500F-H/22.htm
1999: http://alpha-sports.com/spst/1999%20GS500E/19.htm

The 2007 ones are more expensive as well... :dunno_white:

Now I'm really curious - anybody got both a pre 2001 and an after 2001 modell and can have a look?

This is the reply I received ........

Thank-you for the e-mails and images. I am more than confident in saying the footpegs we manufacture for the GS600 is the same as the GS500 - these footpegs can be found on our web site http://www.oberon-performance.co.uk/acatalog/Suzuki_GSF600_96.html.

So what do the pro's think ? Is it it fact the real deal, will they work, direct bolt on ?
