It dawned on me today I had a pair of Axiom Appalachian bicycle panniers lying around and because they are joined across the top, would work excellently on the GS (or any other bike for that matter). Fitted them up, pulled the shock cord to the forward tie down nub. Voila

They flare outwards more than I'd like so I'm going to zip tie the lower section of the bag to the shock cord to pull it towards the bike

I pulled them up on the Axiom website and it appears they may have changed the model to make them single bags, not connected across the top, beware. The Bikeman one definitely is the older joined model.

i thought about the same thing i went to taiwan this summer and visited the Gaint bike company and they had a store in there that since it was through my college we ended up getting like 75% off of stuff but anywho they had some in there like that but my professor grabed the last one and it turned out he has done the same thing he uses his saddle bags on his bike and on his bike

for roadtrips I just take my backpack and bunjee it down around the seat. Technically it cost 20$ for the pack last year for school. But to me its free because it was lying around the house not being used.
