Title: Speedometer Cable Clip
Post by: Green on August 18, 2008, 09:38:35 AM
Can anyone tell me where this clip (Part #24) is supposed to be attached on my 2001?

(Full schematic is here: http://www.bikebandit.com/houseofmotorcycles/suzuki-motorcycle-gs500k1-2001-speedometer-tachometer/o/m6062sch243121 (http://www.bikebandit.com/houseofmotorcycles/suzuki-motorcycle-gs500k1-2001-speedometer-tachometer/o/m6062sch243121))

It's just dangling on my speedometer cable.  Interesting thing is that it's listed as discontinued part, so maybe I should just remove it?

if i'm not mistaken this is the clip that is supposed to prevent the cable from rubbing your fender... I don't have one... and a hole is slowly being rubbed throug it....

I believe it attahes to a bolt by by the fork brace.
