Title: My New Paintjob
Post by: Jackstand Johnny on August 18, 2008, 11:07:09 AM
Okay so I made a post about painting my tank and told everyone about the Misftis skull idea. I went ahead and did it after getting about nine cuts on my middle finger from the razor blade as I cut out the stencil. Heres a before and after of the bike so far. I hope you guys like it.

Yeah, short stalks, or something flush.  Show some shots from the tail end, I'd like to see what you did to clean it up.  Nice front rotor too.

I got rid of the fairings, made a new rear fender, and thats pretty much it. I'll be ordering bar end mirrors and flush mount signals soon enough, and Ill be posting pics as I go.

How about posting some details about those wave rotors? Did you cut the stockers, or did you source those rotors from some other motorcycle? Pass the details along to the rest of us... and thanks.

I suppose it did look pretty good...from about 8 feet away. The vinyl graphics were faded, the tank was a bit cracked and rusted. Don't worry Rhenter, THIS IS NOT THE FINAL PRODUCT. The real paintjob is going on as well as powdercoating once I get an 01+ tank.

I wanted the black tank with the pinstripes etc etc ... just like that top pic.
I was gonna pay you the $1 bill that was sitting up at the top of the house inside the rafters maybe.
In my defence it was cracked and rusted in your own words.
Cool.
