Ok not crap...actually stunning crazy stellar performances...but shaZam! that's twice in as many days the moron judges ignored CRITICAL mistakes by the Chinese team and robbed the American of the appropriate medal after having a superior performance. I hate it when shaZam! like the Olympics pisses me off...
I will add that I have nothing against the Chinese...I just think they were awarded medals for inferior performances because they let judges from countries that have never had an Olympic gymnast make the call...
TBH mak, it wouldnt surprise me. they did however win the BSOD competition ( un-opposed too)
I've seen it as well. It's highly frustrating. NOT that I'm a gymnastics expert, but to say the least, the judging has been very inconsistent. Also, I have a very hard time believing that all of these Chinese girls meet the age requirements. :icon_rolleyes: :bs: Even aside from all of the documents that have surfaced suggesting they're NOT of proper age, JUST LOOK AT THEM! They surely don't look 16, but they're backed by the Chinese gorvernment, and the IOC is very UNlikely to challenge them.

you mean people cheat in taekwondo too? no, say it isn't so! the refs make bad calls there too? what is the world coming to!? :laugh: no, seriously i'm so sick of turning on the tv or looking at articles on the net about this team or person or governing body is cheating. everyone seems to be cheats and liars. all this crap just takes the fun out of sports. and when someone comes along and dominates their respective sport(phelps, armstrong etc) people immediately start to scream foul. it's disgusting.
Actually I was just making reference to the initials. I don't really know anything more about the scandal than what I read in that article. In fact, I couldn't help but laugh to myself when reading it, and therefore didn't get too much out of the article. WTF wouldn't be so funny if we didn't live in the text message era.

I think a home crowd can influence judges, they get carried along with the euphoria. Simple answer in my oppinion is sling out all the sports that require subjective judging. revert to simple highest/most/longest/fastest/strongest things that the competitors decide not things based on the opinion of judges.
This would decimate the winter olympics, all that dancing about on ice etc but perhaps those subjective things should sort themselves out and organise their own global events if that what they want. Same goes for the subjective events in summer games.
I don't suppose this will happen and hopefuly I'll be shouting my heart out at ringside in London 2012.
