I've used a small back pack to hold my rain suit and lock but have also used a magnetic tank bag. The tank bag is better for those hot days.

Backpack- lunch, cell, ipod, wallet. I have a windstopper fleece that goes in there too if I'm not wearing it or may need it. I'm a commuter, 27 miles each way on the highway.

I have a seat bag and I just keep wet weather pants and my purse , glasses, mobile phone, lunch, spare shoes for work, etc. I have a small tool kit under the seat and that's it. My commute is only about 2 minutes so i don't really need any extra clothes or anything. When we go for a day trip I don't really take anything extra.

i quit using my saddlebags for commuting recently. i use a backpack for my loser box, whatever i'm stealing from the shop, etc.

i have a set of cortech saddlebags that have carried everything from babies (hush!) to batteries. they're great, but scratch the side plastics. :(

i hate the backpack. it kills the ventilation of my jacket.

best thing for heavier stuff ? a 20 year old truck ;)

i also have a yellow and black generic school kids back pack.  i picked the color do to visibility.  although my bike is the standard 04 blue, white, black i don't buy gear to match. i get it for visibility.  when i got my summer armor jacket i got the one that was the brightest color.  same with my helmet and like i said my back pack too.  i also bought the reflective tape that is pre cut for the wheels.  with the extra left i put a angled X on the tail fairing just above the brake light.  that way at night i am visible head on(with my high beams, f%$k em)  side ways with my reflector tape on the wheels.  at the rear with my LED tail light and the X reflector.  then there is my jacket and lid which reflect from any angle.  if i get hit and someone says they did not see me i will punch them square in the face.

hey a fish called Wanda is coming on...adhd moment.
