LOL wow, glad your okay. Thats the good kind of crash lol. You have a sv650, cool. Im looking into upgrading to one, and your red one is nice! The other option for me would be a sv1000, but Im not sure I could pick one up easy if/when I drop it. What are your thoughts on the two bikes, being u own a sv650..You look like you enjoy it.
thanks for putting up the pics!
dizzam. Hope your volvo is ok! ;) lmao.
but seriously, im glad youre ok. Thats couldve ended worse. Im gonna have a drink for you tonight
BTW hows the bike, what kind of damage did it sustain?
ill be damned, well at least we finally get to see your butt :icon_twisted: :icon_twisted: , anyhow, yeah i am glad your okay, NOW whats teh damage to the bike?, was it a lowside or?
bummer, glad you aren't jacked up- though if it's like a bicycle crash you feel alot worse in a couple days than you do now.
ya that would not be fun but glad your alright
well hun, least 1. you got right back on, and 2. the bike, ( other than maybe a bit of rash, still seems to be functional, although a bit more pandied
Lesson: Your head is not a safe or effective stopping device!
And let the photo show exactly why helmets & gear are necessary for EVERY ride! :thumb:
Glad to see you're alright and you got right back on her :thumb: What was he handing you in pics 39-41? Was that a chunk of fender? Anyhoo, seems like the bikes pretty ok and you can make one badass flip book with those pics
glad your ok ........but the poor sv will it recover?
Yeow ... That looked horrible ... But ... You are healthy enough to post and ride the rest of the day ... cant be that bad ... so here come the jokes ...
So .... on a side note, how was sex by the track side ... :thumb:
Cool.
Buddha.
Wow! Nice crash! But... Where are you?
Oh.. Wait a minute, you're that pile of silver and black leading the bike into the gravel! Ow! :icon_mrgreen:
The photographer got a GREAT series of crash shots! My god, he has a fast finger. :o
So, beyond brushing up your mad crashing skillz, did you learn anything? :)

hey give her credit in the serise of pictures she was still looking where she wanted to go......(saying oh my f%$king god this is going to hurt)
LMFAO!!! or "Hmmm, not where i want to go"
Wow girl. That looked rough with a "let me see what the dirt looks like under the top layer" view! :o
That pic of your arms in the air is priceless and probably just what I would do in the same situation. It looks like the TC was trying to tell you to stay down after arriving.
Thanks for sharing the pictures and I am happy to know you kept on riding through it. :thumb:

Darnit...I had written a response to everything, but I left the response at the office...will post up tomorrow. :icon_lol:
The pics of me with my arms in the air...I was just raising my arms to let the towers know I was OK....LOL! I wasn't mad or frustrated...I was trying to breathe.....wind knocked out of me.... :bs:
Hi starwalt!!! :kiss3:
Get a super moto next time you want to do it in the dirt.
Good to hear you were ok and got back in the saddle. Sometimes going down gets unnerving.

LOL!! Yes, pandy butt is figured prominantly in that serious...fortunately, the photog was kind enough not to make my butt look TOO big! :icon_razz:
Domindart: the SV is a Sherman tank!!! He's almost indestructible (knock on wood)!!! He's also very forgiving of n00b errors, as is the GS500. He's actually not all that hard to pick up when dropped (ask me how I know this....bwahahaha!!!). He's a great bike to follow the GS!
The SVs is actually in surprisingly good condition. Front fairing's cracked, so I have one on order. The instructor who was checking me over was handing me my face shield (it flew off so that I could have a yummy dirt sammich) and my front right blinker...that's the same damned blinker I break over and over and over. sigh LOL I did ride him for the rest of the day (after visiting Dave Moss for suspension/fork adjustment). =)
Shiz: my volvo is ok this time, but damned if I don't have a third breast... (chest is where the windscreen or handlebar hit me this time)
Yama: yes on the lowside....with more experience, I could have simply ridden it out in the dirt, but my n00b brain grabbed the front brake and down we went.
I learned what NOT to do when going into the dirt: do not..I repeat....do NOT grab your front brake! bwahahahaha!!! I also learned that I need to slow down and LEARN the track first... I didn't know that corner, so I went in WAY too hot. I should have taken it easier for a few more laps/session/days/months/years!
As for "sex" beside the track..uh...does riding my SVs hard and putting him away wet count? :P
Today I'm sore, sore, sore; I probably bruised my ribs, but overall, I came out in good shape! :icon_mrgreen:
could always be worse. glad to see you're doing well. :thumb:
thanks for replying pandy.
Hey pandy, if you want i can make the series of photos into a slideshow, with your permission of course, perhaps even set to music O0 , jus lemme know

Ouch. :( But I'm glad you're OK!
I really recommend some dirt riding (or supermoto - you can take the SM school out here!). It has several really good outcomes. It helps you get used to the feeling of the bike moving under you, and how to react to unexpected situations calmly, without panicking. It helps you learn how to ride properly when you lose traction. And, of course, it will help you do the right thing when you go off into the dirt. ;)
Dirt and SM have done incredible things for my track competence and my street safety.
(I remember at the recent 250cc MotoGP race, Simoncelli went off the track during qualifying. He used the throttle to spin the rear and turn the bike, and avoid going headfirst into the wall. Another kid on a 250 went off into the dirt during the race, grabbed the brake, and hit the ground. Dirt exeperience helps you even at that level!)

Dirt/SM are definitely on the agenda. I was actually signed up for SM school when the cager hit me in early June. I started in dirt earlier this year, and I'm definitely going to get a dirt bike and a toy hauler and a ...and a..... and a million more things..... soon. :icon_mrgreen:
D'oh! Stupid cagers!
Brok's school is the shizz. I'd go ahead and rent one of his bikes for it; show up and hop on. The next school is in Stockton, to go along with the SMUSA round...

something both fitting and respectful. so how you doin today oh gorgeous one :kiss3: :thumb:
glad your ok but after reviewing all your pics i think i seen where you went wrong. in the one pic right before you hit the ground you had a hand full of front brakes. not sure if anyone else noticed that or not. something im tring to teach my wife not to do on our new to us suzuki dr 125 that we just got for her to learn how to ride on.
I looked at the photos too, and i too see where you went wrong. When you were crashing and eating dirt you should have been turning! :thumb:
i think she knows what she did wrong. one of those, "oh f%$k why did i do that?" moments eh? besides, this is pandy we're talking about. did you guys really expect her to have a track day and not crash?  an e-beer for pandy!
This is what happened when I was too grabby with the front brake in my first Supermoto race.
Hobbling around on crutches for a few months does wonders to make you not snatch at the fecking front brake. Using it smoothly, good. Grab, bad. :icon_confused:

that sucks. I haven't put my new bike down yet but I have had the ass puckering moment of panic breaking the gixxer like i did my GS, that learned me real quick. I promptly went to a parking lot and practiced just a little more, just like i do every spring as a refresher
The police don't like practicing though, since when does practicing in a parking lot = stunting, stupid college town....

OUCH!!!!!! Your lesson was a bit more brutal than mine (though it still hurts to cough, laugh, and sneeze )! You look as though you're enjoying some fine pharmaceuticals in the second pic?? Or is that just exhaustion and pain. :o
