Title: Fuel hose connection question
Post by: c-fut on August 20, 2008, 09:50:54 PM
I recently did a valve adjustment and putting the bike back together I noticed that I didn't label the fuel hoses. I've looked in the service manual and have searched on here but I can't find out where the reserve hose(longer nipple on petcock #1) connects on petcock #2. I have an 04 and my petcock #2 doesn't look like the one in the manual and on here. Maybe I'm just  not seeing something. :dunno_white:  Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance

labels on petcock #2 should be cast into it

I have an '06, the reserve hose from the tank petcock goes to the rear connection on petcock #2.
Did you have trouble getting the valve cover out of the frame? I had to take the oil seperator cover off the top of it before I could get it out. Then I had trouble starting it after I put it all together and found I'd dislodged the choke cable while fighting with the cover. Had to take the tank off again.

gsjack posted 3 links, the last one explains yours. Probably ought to go in the wiki.
