Title: fender eliminator / storage
Post by: merisey on August 23, 2008, 09:51:15 AM
has any ever done/thought of pulling the rear fender and just fabbing up a tray out of abs or sheet to bolt up? would it work, because that would give us more storage under our seat. you would prolly have to add a hugger though to keep some of the crap from slinging.

share some thoughts on this, i may try to get some materials and figure something out

considering that is where most of the road garbage is thrown from the tire i would not recommend it.

I'm either going to have to get something massively heavy to put on the back of the bike, or attach ratchet straps from the swingarm to the subframe (with shock set on 1) since I can't see any other way to check where the limit of rear travel really is, but I'm guessing that the stock fender is using that space because sometimes the tire goes up there...
