Post by: wildbill on August 27, 2008, 01:34:04 PM
Hey, so i live in Philly, PA and am trying to find some tracks to go to. I would like to try racing out and cant find really any good info online. There is Patco but that is just drag racing and i want to do track. Any info would be great.

I think there is the Pocono Raceway that has a road course that allows bikes.  I also know for a fact that there is a brand new facility in NJ New Jersey Motorsports Park I think.  That seems very nice and I have heard good things about their Thunderbolt track.  The place is still under development but it looks like it will be really cool with several different tracks and layouts for a variety of race and vehicle types.  I haven't done a trackday yet but I have looked into it I think one of the groups that runs days at the NJ track is Nesba, there are other.  It's really just a matter of a simple google search away.  Look around, there's plenty of info.

The new New Jersey Motorsports Park (http://www.njmotorsportspark.com/) is great.  i rode the Lightning course with NESBA (http://www.nesba.com) in July and it was so smooth.  I've heard good things from my friends about Thunderbolt as well.  TPM (http://www.teampromotion.com/tpm.php?page_id=home) runs there as well, but I think they might have started to run a car group as well, which either cuts into your riding time or puts beginners in with the intermediate group...  Either way it's a great facility  :thumb:
