Title: Quick questions about engine covers
Post by: Batalia on August 28, 2008, 09:16:50 PM
I know that most of the gs500 is steel but is the side covers of the engine aluminium.  I want to polish a few pieces and want to know what is not steel on the bike.  Thanks

The frame is steel, all the engine casings are aluminium.
Except the thermistor cover, which is plated with unobtanium.
