A friend of mine has a 99 Ninja(900cc) and he wants to sell it. He says the only thing thats wrong is the fairing is cracked. He said he'd sell it to me for $900. I want to :thumb: know what you guys think about this bike, especially from the mods on here. Thanks :thumb:
I think you're going to have to elaborate a little more to be able to get opinions from anyone. year, mileage?
If it runs well to me that is a no brainer, why yes, yes I will buy your 900 Ninja for $900.00.
I'd probably be all over that if you had the cash. Even if it was a complete POS, you'd think you could part it out well beyond $900.

A $900 bike with a rod knock might still be worth $1200-1500 parted out. Depends on the condition of stuff.
ZX9's are bad ass machines, lots of power, and parts are everywhere. Don't make the mistake of pinning it like you do your GS the first few days. ;)
10-4. I dont know of the meileage. It was repainted white and has some overspray on the frame, and one of the fairings is cracked but I dont know which one. Oh yeah, its a 99.

hmm, a 99 model with overspray (poor paint job), questions on the milage, cracked fairings (more damage to be found!), etc means it might be worth 750 or 800 if it's mechanically sound. then you're into tires, brakes, engine / clutch condition, etc.
more work ;)
but good luck !
jesus man buy it
i'd buy it. if i had the spare change. :icon_mrgreen:
As it turns out my friends Ninja was stolen about 3 days ago...supposedly. I never got the chance to look at it, and he may have been full of sh!t. This is the problem with bike enthusiasts in Williamsburg. The ones my age are usually all talk.
