Did when i first bought:

carbon fiber bar ends

...and the point of removing functional, useful, heavy, vibration damping lead-filled bar ends with ultra-light, "kewl-looking" and non-functional carbon-fiber bar ends is...???  :dunno_white:  You like the numb hands/white-knuckle disease? Have you consider logging as a career choice? - that way you can have it at work as well as on the bike....

the title of the auction said that they are weighted, so i assume they should cut back on vibes. That and I think the PO lost one of the factory ones because one is i fine shape but one is rashed, paint peeling, and rusty. It basically looks like it came off a older gs. So yeah trying to make it look nicer with function. If they don't cut back on vibes I'll buy new factory ones but why not try a $15 set first.

...speaking from experience, I have removed the heavy bar ends and replaced them with aluminium ones.  I don't have any noticeable vibration through the bars.  Not every bike will have a vibration problem - some do, lots dont.  But like he said, $15 is not an expensive experiment.

maybe its a case of so used to it but i changed out my bars and when i went for a ride today seems like it is off..... bars feel like im turning them left could this be just that and im used to it or is there a possibility that its not aligned and never has been and i just didnt notice because of the bent bars?

update.....Ok, I think I'm good on this one. After many check rechecks from front/back. I noticed that it looks like my guages are a little off(very possible considering they mount in rubber). I looked at many other pics here and I also don't feel that I am alone. Took the bars back off layed them on glass to make sure they weren't twisted... ok there. So when I put them back in one of the welds keeps me from aligning them dead center but I can live with that. I'm pretty sure I was just so used to bent bars if feels odd to have good ones.. here is what I have been riding on for about 2500 miles. Sorry the puppy wanted in too.

Looks good.  I like the double bubble.  I replaced my bar ends and can tell not difference.
