How often to you wear you helmet i ride with my helmet 90%-95% of the time I ride to and from work with it and around town most of the time.
I know i will probably get fried for not wearing it 100% of the time but just curious about you guys.
100 percent....aways with a armour bike jacket, armour gloves, boots(ok sometimes sneakers) and either jeans or reinforced camo pants
Me? 100% of the time. And it is the law in MA, BTW. But I'd wear it anyway.
Last weekend in and around Laconia, NH (not Bikers Week though) I saw at least a hundred bikers on the road. Less than 5% had the helmet on. New Hampshire does not require the helmet to be worn, but c'mon people... :cookoo:
101% ATGATT anything else is

I don't fire up a chainsaw without saw chaps, and I don't get on a bike without helmet, boots, gloves, pants, jacket or equivalent (aerostich - about the same price as the 18 year old bike, good for going to work if you need normal clothes at work - also Best. Rainsuit. Ever.)
Takes just a few seconds, saves hours of agony (or your life) if you ever need it, and you don't know when you'll need it.
I'm with everyone else, 100%. A guy at work fractured his skull when he slipped on the driveway playing with his little girl. I don't want to find out what would happen if I came off the bike at any sort of speed. I always wear one on my pushbike too. (not a motorbike helmet, that would be weird.) It is the law here in Australia to wear a helmet, but there is no law to say that you have to wear boots, gloves etc. I sometimes see people riding in thongs (on their feet not on their bums) which is crazy. I've fallen off my pushbike enough times and had enough gravel rashes to know how bad that would be to come off and rip your feet apart.
100% of the time. Got to. If I lay it down and get injured without wearing a helmet, gloves, pants, long sleeves and boots, as well as reflective clothing (i.e. vest, belt, strips on the helmet), the army won't pay for it. But it's definately in your best interest to wear this stuff all the time anyway, law or not. Dress for the crash, not for the ride
100% of the time. Same with jacket and gloves. Riding to work I don't wear riding pants, but I do on pleasure rides.
If you don't have a brain worth saving, don't wear a helmet! Otherwise, wear it EVERY time.
All the time. I dont have pants or riding boots yet, but I have the jacket and gloves. I plan on getting it all soon... But yes all the time.

I definately DON'T wear a helmet all the time, but I do when I'm on my bike!
Have used one three times, and very glad I had it on.
1. Off road riding, fell off on a corner and headbutted a large rock.
2. Fell off on a diesel spill, whacked head on road then on my sliding Ducati.
3. Had an discussion with a cager who tried to use me as a shortcut. As I walked away he smacked me over the head with a brick! Maybe I shouldn't have :flipoff: :flipoff:.

the wife gave me funny looks at first, but hey, two kids proves nothing is 100%
I couldn't imagine going without the helmet--or my armored jacket and gloves. For that matter I feel a certain measure of guilt that I've yet to buy a pair of riding pants and a more appropriate pair of riding boots!
Helmet CAN save you major damage even at low speeds. For that reason I say 100%!
...I also say--for no particular reason (other than an overwhelming urge)--that Roslyn looks hot in her avatar.
Forgive me.
YES ยก SI ! JA, etc etc etc
What can I say?
Even Riding Minimotos , I choose to wear a helmet , and when i used to bmx , i wore a full face motorcross helmet with Mirrored Googles , Overkill , but u can land on ur head hard on ramps and such , and i didnt wanna risk it

...well, at least I don't have to worry about that nagging urge anymore.
Helmet 100% of (riding) time. Mandatory by law (25-some yrs so far), and stiff fines for those who don't comply.
I'd wear one even iif it weren't compulsory, I suppose. :thumb:
Funny enough, despite law, there are some zones here (the South, especially) where everyone rides WITHOUT helmet, because if you wear one you are easily mistaken for a criminal going for a robbery or a shooting. :o (your face can't be seen)

I live in a backwards little town. Two of the gas stations don't have the pay at pump option! AND, the third closes early. Needless to say, I don't feel like getting ungeared to pump three gallons of gas, so I always feel a bit conspicuous going in with the helmet on.
i do mainly cause its the law but if it wasn't i don't know i might skip it once just to see but no way i would do more then 25 with out one
did once for like 15 minutes in PA, i didnt really like it.
Though i do wear a brain bucket when its nice out (i need a new full face - mine is pretty grungy)
100%
Like I said to a helmetless harley rider a while back: $10 lid for a $10 head.
Roadrash isn't nice either, so make that 100% leather gear 100% of the time. Healing to your sheets is no fun. ;)
100% All the time. Imagine if you didn't what would happen: http://i523.photobucket.com/albums/w356/hollerstiltner/Helmet004.jpg
