Title: air box drain hose question - how to route and possible cause of lean?
Post by: CanukGS500 on September 06, 2008, 09:38:40 AM
hello!

I was inspecting hoses and whatnot on my bike and I noticed the hose on the bottom of the airbox has a tiny crack in the rubber nipple on the end.

Two quick questions:

1) where does this hose mount?  I was on bikebandit and there seems to be some kind of clamp for it but I'm not sure based on the pic how it holds the hose.  Does the hose just hang down?

2) Can the slight crack in the nipple be the cause of a lean condition?  Would a drop of epoxy to seal it be acceptable until I can replace the hose?

Thanks in advance!

it is the air box drain hose
if water somehow gets into your air box
the hose will allow the water to drain out and not fill up your air box

leave it alone it is happy sitting there doing nothing

thanks... i'll leave the 5mm crack in the nipple on the end alone then.
