Hi there,
Someone knocked my bike over this weekend and luckily all they did was bent the handlebars, bar end, gearshift lever and scratched the stator cover (left engine cover) on the engine.
Does anyone have a used stator cover in good shape that they'd sell for cheap?
I also need a Suzuki emblem for the cover if anyone has a new unused one.
My bike is a 1991 GS500E but any black cover from the early years will fit.
I'm also looking for a LEFT RIDER's footpeg rubber, if you have one that's in very nice condition.
It could have been much worse. The fellow who hit my bike was backing up in a parking lot in a huge Honda Ridgeline pickup and said he never saw my bike, even though he walked past it 20 seconds earlier while I was standing there right next to it.
He's at least paying me for the bars, bar end, shifter and handgrips.
Ugh, what a way to start the weekend.
Thanks,
Trwhouse
BUMP :)
i got your left foot peg just pulled it off the bike today for new pegs
what you think like 6 shipped?
Hi Mdow,
That sounds great.
The footpeg rubber in very nice condition? Mine is all gnarled so I am looking for one that looks perfect.
If it's in great shape, yes, I'll take it. Paypal OK? Give me an e-mail address. :)
If you have a photo of it to show how it looks, that would be cool. :)
Yours,
Trwhouse
I actually at someone's suggestion (maybe werase643 ...) have put the passenger pegs in the riders position. Passenger peg is much better and usually sees a lot less use and therefore wear.
Cool.

Hi Buddha,
Thanks for that idea.
They are the same rubber or the same entire peg assembly with the bar that connects to the peg mounts?
Yours,
Trwhouse
they are in the back of the car right now and its POORING down rain soooo ill get a pic for you tomarow haha
i would give the rubber an 8-10 and the metal has some rust one it but thats what you get with 14 year old pegs i would say metal is 6-10
only reason they came off is cause i got new metal pegs

I believe the rubber on rear is different, but the metal part is the same front to rear. Dont recall ... As always, double check, my memory is not what it used to be ... I also swapped pegs on a seca II as well. Hopefully I am not confusing the 2.
Cool.
