Title: Muffler/K&N/What jets to use?
Post by: Jackstand Johnny on September 13, 2008, 09:20:36 AM
My 89 has a K$N lunchbox, and was rejetted  by PO and I don't know what jets were used. I have a pipe thats getting welded on after the midpipe(is just like quiktaco's). What should be done to my carbs for the best performance?

40 pilot, 150 mains, 1 or 2 #4 stainless washers from ACE, and 2 1/2 or 3 turns out on your mixture screws.

I believe they come with a restrictor ring just for that application. Just toss the filter and the restrictor ring in the airbox and you're good to go...

I already got one, but thanks anyway.  What is this "lunchbox" that you speak of? Sounds tasty!  :icon_razz:

This guy: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00062YQXE

Replaces the airbox and drop-in filters.  From the information I've read, given the significant increase in airflow, you need to rejet (no restrictors are included with the lunchbox).
