Title: 98' GS 500 Gas Tank (Black)
Post by: DeadPunch on September 13, 2008, 02:13:54 PM
Does anyone know where to get a decently priced gas tanks for a 98' gs500e?  Also, what kind of price range do you cats think I should be looking for?   :dunno_white:  I'll take a used/reconditioned one that is in near perfect condition but nothing less.  Looking for it in black.  Feel free to message me directly if you have one for sale.

Thanks,
Deadpunch

Nothing wrong with being picky is there?  Plus, i've seen other reconditioned tanks that are practically new for other bikes so I don't think it's that much to ask for.

a 400-500 dollar tank is not going to make your bike worth 400-500 dollars more.....

this is why flat black is a popular color choice

nothing wrong with being picky
just remember reality
you ride a turd
new tank will make it a shiney turd
still a turd

and yes i like my turd GS very much
have had one since 94
more important to most is a non rusty tank....ugly can be painted over

If someone were to pay the Buddha like a $200-250 ... they can be supplied with a dent free (minor divots only) coated inside with POR 15, perfectly powdercoated outside in shiny black with clear coat and shipped.
Conversely I can do coating for $60 on the inside.
I can undent most anything for $50.
I can powdercoat a tank for $50-60 in single colors only and do not ask me to match shades. White ... yellow ... black ... yes, 1997 chartreuse sky azure ... WTF, I'm not ghey.

Cool.
