Does anyone know at what intervals we need to change our antifreeze?
Does it take a special kind? Lost my manual bout a year ago.
:dunno_white:
Air cooled ... you need to change the air every 500 miles :icon_twisted:
Cool.
Buddha.
YEa... No antifreeze in there bud :icon_mrgreen: None to change :thumb:
The floor mat gaskets wear out pretty quick tho....also, flush the blinker fluid anually

When you change the fan-belt and use antifreeze thats intended for air cooled engines only..........ask your local dealer for it......and a spare fan-belt.
Yea I always do those things when I am replacing my brake fluid overbore gasket.
Cool.
Buddha.
Also, it's crucial to torque down the zag nuts every 1200 miles. :icon_lol:
i just put the antifreeze in that little hole on the right engine casing
No way,
I haven't even got my bike running yet and I at least know that it is air cooled.
At least he knows how to work his "signature"

What headlight do you have on your bike?!?!?!?!? Is that just a GS500F light bolted up to the headlight mounts? That thing looks SOOO SICK.
Like a mini B-King!
Dan
I change mine everytime I put in new muffler bearings.
OOoooh! You got new muffler bearings!? :o  I want some!
What about rotating the air in the tires.... every 9000 miles or so... ;-)
all the cool kids smear oatmeal in their radiators to speed warm up times.
Manual is a precious thing to lose I see
Good joke though ;)

I know, mine is an automatic...
How do you guys put the rear handbrake on? I keep my foot out of the way to not knock it going along but im not sure how im ment to make it stay on when im parked. Also does anyone else have a problem reaching it? They could have put it in a better place i think.
Handbrake??? I havent even found reverse gear yet :dunno_white:
Somebody stole the stereo off of mine. I had subs and everything...
Ahh sledge, have you not? You have to flick the switch, its just under the tank, they call it the petcock, i think that means reverse in japanese. It never worked for me though the engine always stopped when i tried going backwards. So ive always just pushed it.
Incidentally, whats that extra stand on the left for? i thought it was for stopping the bike falling over on a corner since it doesnt have extra wheels like a car, then i couldn't work out why they didn't put one on the other side?! help please?!

That would be the influence of NASCAR- they only turn left
Antifreeze is good against GS cold bloodiness , just mix one spoonful before breakfast on an empty tank
and no chocking required :thumb:

Ahhh i knew it would be something clever like that, you see i never think of these things.
That must be why pandy is having so many problems, shes got an SV hasnt she? I don't think they fitted mid corner stablisers to her bike, or did they just do it to the wrong side?

I thought the OP was pulling our legs....did I miss something?
By the way, I just bought my first helmet and I find I can't see much of the road. Also that big slot in the back lets a draught down the back of my neck.

I cleaned my brakes with WD-40 then I cleaned the tires with armor all shine. My bike is so clean!

you guys are forgetting the most important thing ever even possible. every now and again, you have to, absolutely HAVE to adjust the engine brake and grease your muffler bearings. jeesh. am I teaching newbies here or something?
damn, all the good ones, and bad ones are taken....shaZam!. I just hope this guy wasnt serious. If so, he probably hates all of you now. way to ruin someones day guys! lmao. Thats why I love it here :flipoff: :flipoff: :kiss3:

and dont forget to set the time travel circuit to november 8th 1985, because as soon as you hit 88 miles per hour, thats where you're goin.
I'd set it for last week so I could pay my phone bill on time...

Ooo please tell, i ask because its a topic i havn't yet seen, what do you wish you could go back and change...
I have one thing i wish i could go back and change, i once met the most amazing girl i think il ever meet, and had the oppertunity to ask her out and i think if i would have done we would still be together now, however i was way too afriad/nervous whatever and didn't and now were the best friends and shes gone and got a boyfriend and i had a girlfriend for about 4 years until she turned psycho, but still sometimes when were hanging out and having a great time i wish i could have gone back to that moment!
However you never know what the future holds!
When I first got the GS, I was going over the list of Requirements for the first track day. "X - done, Y - done, Z - done. Oh, I have to change to Water Wetter..." *husband gives me a disgusted look* "...never mind."

If no one has said yet, it's a stock GS500F light mounted with some kind of aftermarket mounting system. It is sweet and if I ever go from F to E, I'm keeping my headlight.

The best way to get over an ex is to f%$k her best friend or her mother........or both. If that doesn't make you feel better, I suggest buying advertising space in your local newspaper and filling it with blatant slander.
