Title: Out for a spin in AL to 29 Dreams (PIC HEAVY)
Post by: ohgood on September 21, 2008, 10:33:36 AM
Took the wife over the mountain to 29 Dreams. Think of it as a biker bar that isn't so much a bar as it is a motorcycle friendly campground, hangout, breakfast club/cafe, etc that just so happens to be on one of my favorite twisties locations.

The gs drew a small crowd, one of which has the dream job of restoring motorcycles at Barber Motorsports Museum. He thrashed his duc through the turns, and his buddy has a sweet sv. Very nice folks, recommended some more roads including "Upchuck Hill" (WOOHOO!) and a few others. Think I'll try their group rides out.

No pictures of the cafe, but you can visit their website @ http://www.29dreams.com to get an idea. Cruisers, HD's, cafe's, rockets, Goldwings, Bonnies, Connies, everything you can imagine. This mornign was slow, and only 150 or so bikes breezed in while we were eating. LOVE THIS PLACE !

On to the pictures...

wow, it must be nice to have some sweet twisties like that.  Especially with those elevation changes.  I'm jealous

The picture in your signature is nice. IF I were trained in photography or psychology it would likely mean something to me, right ? Empty lot, perfect focus, the wall showing etc  ?

Love the shot either way ! Nice ride !

Very cool.  The overlook seems like a great place to sit and think.  Nice pics :thumb:

Very jealous, there is nothing like that in Mobile that I have heard of.  That is a 4 hour ride for me too, I might have to make it up there sometime though.
