It's all bullshit from both sides.
This country is long gone, not any part whatsoever what is was founded upon.
The Debate made me afraid, afraid for my Country, my family, and myself.
I watched the thing on mute and it gave me another reason to think Obama is a douchebag...I'd watch Obama's lips moving and McCain would be silent. When Obama was done, McCain started talking and not a minute later Obama's lips started moving while McCain's lips were still moving. Basically I'm saying Obama was speaking out of turn and interrupting McCain...which is a real asshat thing to do. What kind of child insists on talking while someone else is and interrupting? That's just rude.
Oh yeah...go ninjas.
Didn't watch it because I already know it was going to be a bunch of spewed rhetoric. @ guys trying to tell voters what they want to hear without actually committing to any kind of action they may be held to in the future. Talking out of turn is crap too- McCain let you say your peice, now you listen to him say his no matter how much you disagree- save that for a rebuttal- that's how debates work.
there was a debate???
I think they both spoke out of turn, but I thought the main problem was the way McCain was so condesending. He was like the really old man (which he in fact is) who is saying, now sonny, back in my day we .... He kept saying "you don't understand" I guess I'm biased, but I found it to be somewhat of a turn off. I am looking forward to this thursday. Palin needs to redeen herself after 2 really bad interviews. So bad in fact, that many republicans that work with McCain are suggesting she drop out. I could not believe some of her answers were real. It was like watching a parody only real. She makes Bush look like Newton. I guess on a positive note, Saturday Night Live and the late shows will have material for many weeks to come.
As far as this past debate, I agree with most everyone in that neither of them said much and were not prepared to be bold. I do believe that since this was McCain's best subject and he tied at best, the debate will probably hurt him in the long run.
I listened to the debate on the radio this afternoon on the radio heading to arkansas to pick up a crashed riders bike.
I thought this round was supposed to be foreign policy not another pissing match over the economy, I am dissapointed this was so far off topic.
Neither one of them won it.
You know who's getting my vote, the one that doesn't back down on trying to veto bush's ridiculous bailout package request, let the free market do it's job, bad business's fail, better business's replace them. And whoever gets the damned speculators out of the oil market. It cost me $75 in gas to be nice and help out a fallen rider I've never met.
Both those asshats are for a bailout, it's just a matter of the terms and how much it's for.
Cal...you saw the thing where Biden told us about when Roosevelt got up on national television and talked the people through the market crash in 1929, right? Palin's gonna have a hard time topping that.
I didn't see Biden talking about it, but I knew that Roosevelt addressed the nation concerning the stock market crash from learning about it in school. And, you are correct, there is not way she could ease everyone's worries. Even if she was coached well enough to get the correct words out of her mouth (which I'm not sure is possible), the fact that she would have zero idea what she's talking about will be obvious.
I have no clue why McCain picked her, but I am glad he did. After 8 years of hearing Bush speak, you would think that I would not be surprised by an ignorant politician, but WOW did she ever show me. Sometimes I have to take a step back and think, "did that just happen? Did she just say what I think?" I heard someone the other day say that it is like a bad 80's Disney movie. This backwards soccer mom from Alaska, with a disfunctional family hits it big and becomes President.

No, I don't think you did. Especially not the way Biden described.
but I knew that Roosevelt addressed the nation concerning the stock market crash from learning about it in school.
God please tell me you are referring to his 'nothing to fear' Inaugural speech.........ya know........when he was inaugurated...........that was broadcast over radio............6 years before FDR appeared on TV.
Sorry guys, I was thinking of the correct speech, but the wrong president. In 1929 when Hoover was giving his acceptance speech for the Republican party nomination he spoke of the economic issues of the great depression.
Anyway, I didn't hear Biden say anything about it, but from what I have read since my last post, Biden and I must have made the wrong mistake. :) I see what you are saying now Makenzie and I think she has already far exceeded the stupidity of a single mistaken historical reference. The unfortunate reality is that she is probably a very intelligent woman, but when every waking moment is public knowledge, anyone could look ignorant. That doesn't mean that I believe she is ready to be president, but I wouldn't want to be in her position.
Nor would i want to be in the position of planning Mccains death, as many on the left are doing :nono:
i think the zombies won
I haven't heard anyone planning his death, just pointing out his very noticeable oldness.
