Title: GR650X swap
Post by: lopee on September 26, 2008, 07:57:46 PM
I heard about a swap for this motor, i think, into our GS. Not a bad price for a bike that runs. 62 HP stock, imagine the mods !

Meh, it's an out-dated motor. Sure, it's powerful.. but why not look into a 2 stroke or v-twin mod (not harley... but SV or something).

You come over in a few weeks lopee and you can sit on one that been done. Not running yet, but its in there ... I carted it off to my welders place to get some elbow room in the ol garage.
I'd not be too excited though ... its gonna be a cruiser motor ... I expect it to be torquey and not like a GS500 ... BTW its a 5 speed not 6.
Cool.
