Title: Help with hose reconnection
Post by: Topnikko on September 29, 2008, 09:31:10 AM
I'm in the process of reassembling a GS500E after having it apart for the past year. I have a couple of hoses that I'm having problems find out where they go. First, there is a hose that connects to the bottom of the fuel tank, a couple inches away from the sending unit. What and where does the other end of that hose connect? Next, there is a hose (purge) that connects right in the middle and on the bottom of the hose that goes in between the carbs. What and where does that purge hose connect?

Also, I have an issue where when I turn the handlebar to the right the engine revs up. How do I fix this throttle issue?

If you got a service manual, it would tell you where all the hoses go and how to route the cables so they don't get tweaked when you turn the bars. There is a PDF version of the factory service manual kicking around somewhere, but the paper ones are cheap too...

Thanks. I would still appreciate answers to my questions from somone who knows where these hoses go. And also the cause of the revving issue when turning the bars.
