Title: 2004 GS500f for sale, with many Mods...
Post by: KevinBlank on October 02, 2008, 12:18:39 PM
Blue and White 2004 Suzuki gs500 f. This bike has a clean title and has been serviced, maintained and cleaned religiously. I am the FIRST and only owner, I bought it brand new, fresh off the showroom floor. It has just under 11k. I ride it every weekend and has NO problems. The 500cc motor is known to be very reliable and sturdy and as of now it has MANY more miles left in it. It gets around 55 mpg and very cheap on insurance. I just recently took it into the dealer for 10k service. ASKING $3000 firm.

A few aftermarket modifications, all done professionally.

- K&N lunchbox filter (removed airbox)
- Stage 1 jet kit by Dynojet
- Smoked windscreen
- Pinstriped Rims
- Clear mini Turn signals
- Lower café version handle bars
- GEL handle bar grips (blue)
- Rear fender economy
- Blue LED Streetglow Underglow
- Blue LED Gauge Cluster
- Rear SV650 upgraded shock (yellow)
- Battlax Tires (Plenty of tread left)
- GSXR look-alike heal gards

ASKING $2800 frim (will ship for a fellow gs500 forum buddy)

Haha Blue over Yellow anyday my friend! I got an sv shock, maybe my bike is an SV wana-be?!! LOL. But yea 3 people are interrested, but wondering if anyone on here would want it? Its got alot of tasteful mods and its seen 130mph. I have a 2 down front sprocket that comes with the bike, its not installed. To a high rpm when cruising so i put the stocky back on, it really pulls hard with the 2 down sprocket on.

how did you like the street glow kit? easy to instal? does it look good? are there wires hanging everywhere? how much did you pay for the kit?

The streetglow kit is excellent. Its just a 3 inch long led bar with about 20 leds in it. It cost me bout 15 bucks and was a quick easy install and looks very clean. Only one wire to deal with to the battery. I installed a fuse in the line and its got 3 modes, strobe, pulse and steady burn.

I dont know how youd install it on a gse due to not having a faring like the gsf to mount it on.

Thanks on the compliments

Hey man would you happen to know what kind of bars those are?
Title: Re: 2004 GS500f for sale, with many Mods...
Post by: KevinBlank on October 12, 2008, 04:49:56 PM
Custom bars. I bent them cold myself with a bender (no pinching). I painted them with textured paint to make it look like the plastic inside. Each curve of the bar is 30 degrees, its just perfect. It feels a heck of alot sportiers and my hands are spaced closer together so they dont look like they are way outside the bike.

If i would do it again i wonldnt even bother with making custom bars. Just go out and by a set of Clip-ons!

Hope it helps.

I can also make some more if people are interrested...  :thumb:

Man those bars are awesome. I wish there was a way I could make stuff like that. How much do you think it would cost for you to make some more of those?

As for the handle bars, i can make several of them for a few fellow gstwin pals. Ill prolly sell them for 30 bucks plus whatever shipping is to where you live.

Hows that sound??  :thumb: Closer pic of bars below

how much does it lower it?
Title: Re: 2004 GS500f for sale, with many Mods...
Post by: KevinBlank on October 15, 2008, 08:33:37 AM
About 3 inches lower than stock. It also brings the grips in toward the center of the bike a bit. If feels much sportier and you don't get that weird look of sitting upright on the bike, all while still being comfy.

The only issue that ive had is that when you turn full left the horn button hits the tank and goes off haha. But thats because i made my really narrow. Ill be making everyone's a little wider so this isnt too much of a problem. This allows you to also cut a little off to make it narrower yourself if needed.

You have a new email.

But im really trying to sell it now, or as soon a possible. I wana buy another bike to paint and work on over the winter and have it ready to ride for spring. So i need this gs500 out soon, but if i cant get it out before winter ill hold on to it untill spring.

Haha its STOCK!!! All i did was take the screen off, carefully remove the sticker on the back of it and then cleaned it. Then i just used regular plastic black spray paint and sprayed the BACK of it. I also taped off the front to avoid overspray. It looks killer, and cuz the front is still the clear plastic is looks oem.

Im suprized more people havent done this easy mod, cheap, easy and looks great. And you could virtually paint the screen any color you want.

Hope it helps
