it turns over great, lots of power / lights etc. but it won't catch.

can you give us a little more info. how do the plugs look, battery charged? it may have enough to turn it over and light it up but not catch had same prob last week. charged her up and was good
I am having the same problem on a 89 I just picked up. it cranks and will even backfire some but wont start. Whats weird is if while cranking I open the throttle or choke it it cranks much slower until I release the gas or turn off the choke. Please Help!

I had a similar problem with a kwaka I owned. Did exactly what you said, I drained the carbs let it sit and tried again later without touching the throttle and it eventually fired up.
