My bike will tentatively be getting the following over the non-riding months:

Yosh, Scorpion or Akrapovic shorty slip on (possibly full Jardine or V&H if I bite the bullet)
K&N insert
Lots, of jetting/carb tuning.
150 Conti Attack rear tire
110 Conti Attack front tire
Sonic-Springs .90 or .95 (220lb rider sometimes with 2 up)
Superbike bars.
Yamaha R1 rear taillight 00-02' LED

After that, She'll be finished. I hope.

Gonna paint the whole bike, trying to find a good set of new mirrors for the fairings that have blinkers built in (looking for suggestions if anyone knows of any the only ones i found that i like were on www.newenough.com so far), grill inserts for the fairings, led lighting in the tail section and behind the fairings, take my current flush mount blinkers from the front and put them on the rear and get new flushmounts for the front that are also running lights and add some driving lights location still to be determined.  So pretty much just a lot of lighting and cosmetic modifications everything else on the bike is stock right now.  It needs to be painted since the previous owners both dropped the bike and the fairings are full of scratches but no cracks.

Hmmm, no winter here in LA, I'll be riding the bike to work every day as usual... I did just get new EBC rotors and pads in the mail today, but that's more a necessary repair than a specific project... Still waiting on my HEL stainless steel brake lines though...

On the Geez: extracing the broken bolt, getting a new signal gernerator, and putting the thing back together.

I wouldn't mind finding a less ginormous tail.

On the Wrecks - if money allows, a midpipe and a tuning at Factory Pro.  Dualsport tires once I can manage to kill the stockers.

I have no plans for the Fizz and Titter - they need nothing.  I love Japanese bikes.   :icon_mrgreen:  If I'm bored, I'll do the Titter's fork seals.

I'm loving the EBC sintered HH pads on the front of mine.  Along with fresh fluid, it's essentially fade free compared to before.  BEFORE, I was only allowed one emergency braking exercise per ride--hopefully, that was all I needed!!!  :o

HH sintered are good pads - I replaced the stockers on my WR with them.  The braking is more progressive, better feel, for sure.

Man ... if you have it this far apart ... just swap forks for kat, swap the shock for kat, the swingarm for a RGV, the wheels for kat 98+, the motor for a GR650, a 04+ tank, a tail off some R6/F4i etc, guages for a veypor, seat for a solo cowl ...
The idea is, you'd not need any of these parts ... so those that say you're missing a piece ... you just say ... nope, dont need any of it.
Cool.

haha i think that would end up pretty sweet, but this is my attempt at a cheapskate build.  the bike cost me $500 with a bent frame, and the new frame cost me $200.  i dont intend to spend much more on it than that.  that said, the bike i bought was an E, and the new frame is an F, so the tail section wont bolt up, and neither will the seat.  if i didnt ride two up i'd look into the cowl...

that said, i dont think all of that crap is going to make it back onto the bike. the center stand never held the bike up right (i think its bent too) so its not going back on either.  what else can i scrap  :dunno_white:

I replaced my signal generator and broken bolt.  Tomorrow, new slicks; Sunday, the last track day of the year.

I think I posted about this elswhere, but some odd thing happened when I put the new bolt in; the bike kept popping the main fuse.  I thought it was my wiriing - but it looked fine.  So we investigated further, and traced the issue to the starter.  The starter was shorting out against the cover.  So I cleaned and re-taped the wire going to the starter, and now it's fine.  I found it strange that this would just... happen, though!

I've got an 89 GS500E semi-basket case to go through.  It's intact save for wheels, forks, and a title.  My current plan is to yank the motor and tear it down, then refresh it as my primary road race motor, at which point I can pull my current motor and deal with it's leaky base gasket, clutch pushrod and countershaft seals.  Haven't decided what to do with the rest of the new spares after that.  Tank needs to be de-rusted, frame could stand to be stripped and painted, maybe I'll track down enough parts to bring it up to the same spec as my current machine and have a rain and dry bike? :P

Picked up a Katana shock and Just ordered bars from buddah.

Want it to be a sleeper.

Cant wait to pass Newbies on there brand new 10k R6 on a bike I paid 800. Total after mods.

It's a single seater off-road buggy... I guess at the moment it does look sort of like a boat

Here is a pic of what is should look like when finished (but in flat black all over)

Keep adding pictures as the project progresses. In fact, I'd suggest starting a new thread on this topic.

Let's see, it all about how I'm going to get this all done between winter break, possibly into spring break:
-check valves
-rebuild carbs
-install lunchbox filter
-anti-rust gas tank
-replace and bleed brakes
-re-clearcoat tank
-new decals
-install SV headlamp
-repaint & rebalanced wheels
-some more stuff that I might feel compelled to do.

I've gotta do a lot of cleaning up on my GS, I haven't had it on the road yet. So far the list of things it needs are:

battery
front fork seals
cleaning up wiring
seat cover
Tune up

I'm also helping my girlfriend rebuild her CT70 so I'll have plenty to tinker on. I just finished up my ATC70 and before that I brought a basketcase banshee back to life.

Yes, I am buying (if it doesn't sell for too much at auction) the whole bike. I am in Australia so the current exchange rate would mean that it would be at a very reasonable price too. I have no idea about shipping though. I'll send you a PM if I get the bike (auction on the 11th December) and you still want the parts.
