Title: Where can I get a new chain on a College kids budget....

I need a new chain bad.. At this point even a regular stock chain that will get me through the rest of the season til I have more money for sprockets and a good chain. Any one have one laying around or know where I can get a cheap one?

Also is the chain size 110- 520? For an 2006 if so will a dirtbike chain work?

110 links, 520 pitch, ya.

a dirtbike chain will, provided it's the same pitch and enough links ;)

make sure you get a o-ring chain at least, an x-ring chain would be better.

getting a non-x or non-o ring chain means it will last 1/5th as long, so it costs 5x as much in the long run ! :)


HEY< HOLD ON THERE, you have a 2006 gs ? why is your chain worn out ? I got 24,000 out of my used, abused, neglected 97's OEM chain.

something to think about ! :)

its stretched I have like about another 1/16th of an inch left to tighten it. It has stretched spots and just keeps coming loose and colapsing my tension rod cap thingys
