I have a suggestion, don't fall! :flipoff:
But seriously, if you have mad skillz, fab something up yourself, otherwise there are some companies that make case guards for the GS.. Check out the gs wiki for info on those.
i have this bad habit of falling over when im not in motion... Someone keeps telling me about this so called "gravity" thing and i need to keep my feet on the ground or my bike will fall over. I thinks its all a bunch of mumbo jumbo but just to be safe im trying to get a cage =P
^ sounds like a lack of angular momentum. increase velocity, and call me in the morning
Ill have to try that thanks =D
get some case guards, but even those don't protect everything. Good luck protecting your bars, tank, etc.
Keith Code has been doing various bike/rider protecting devices for his superbike school:

Some folks from CSS decided to specialize, and started "the wheelie school":

You can see their wheelie device here:

I've dropped my bike twice... in my garage... not running... and BOTH times I've broken my lever on the side it falls... completely bends and breaks off the ball and about 2 inches of lever. 1st time the clutch, 2nd time the brake...
What will fix this? Longer bar-ends? Padding the garage floor with old mattresses?
Sheesh. :cookoo:

Suspending it from the roof. Then you cant knock it over. Itll just kind of swing. Possibly knockign you over on the return portion of said swing.

but then you won't be able to wheelie cause it'll be about 100 pounds heavier

Well, that could also count as a safety feature... Wheelies are dangerous...
This should add about 300 pounds of weight to the back end of your bike, help with a wheelie, and, when you go over backwards, you could sit there for a while and think: "Now what?"

dang that roll cage looks more dangerous
i mean what if ur legs get bent the wrong way across the bar!!!
OUCH!

me too, once in the garage and once at ~50 MPH on track. Garage, no damage, track, scratches but nothing broken. I have stock bar ends and the case guards from MC enterprises.
Jlittle, they may not look like much, but the OEM case sliders and stock bar ends do help a lot. So consider this a vote for the case guards instead of some crazy external cage like the one pictured.

that sh!t looks to be extremely dangerous. Imagine yourself getting in an accident, this would be like a trap...
Wal Mart or any place that sells BMX pegs( tubular) work well. I bought a pair chrome for about $10. I mounted them on the engine to frame bolt(you must replace bolt with slightly longer bolt and you can get them at any bolt store. the end product will be about 1/2'' wider than your case covers and they make great highway pegs or stunt pegs. I've had them on my bike for over a year with no problem and I have been standing on them with no prob. I do suggest you cover them with grip tape(skateboard tape) it gives better traction. :thumb: :thumb:

that sound like a great idea and cheap too!!
cheers
