Anyone knows how to adjust the clutch depth? For my clutch it's pretty shallow just about a half inch of pull, is there anyway of making it a little bit more deeper :dunno_white: Thanks all.
i'm assuming you're talking about the hand lever? you can adjust the tension of the clutch cable at the lever and/or at the clutch cover. Follow the cable and it will end up on the left side of the engine. Then you might have to remove the small cover a few inches below where the cable threads in (2 screws) and adjust there.

You can add or remove a small amount of freeplay but you cant adjust the "depth"...... The lever needs to move the cable by "X" amount to operate the clutch and this amount is fixed. If the lever isnt comfortable to operate you might want to consider a dog-leg version.
Often people will set their clutches without considering freeplay........Set the inline adjuster near the lever to midway first, then set the biting point on the adjuster at the clutch end. Then set the lever freeplay to 4-5mm using the inline adjuster. You MUST have this freeplay at the lever, too much play and it wont fully dissengage, not enough and it will slip.

This has annoyed me for a while now. When I replaced the doo-hickey that translates linear cable movement to rotational, then to linear again (silly huh?) down by the push rod... I thought "I could just use a longer arm here, and get more friction zone !"
Then life got in the way and I haven't done anything with it. I'll likely weld a 1" or 1/2" extension onto the arm and see how it feels. It's allot of work just to try-n-see. I should do the freaking MATH first to find what length extension it would take to double the friction zone, but it's early and I have a full day + company to take care of !
And I havne't even had breakfast yet... waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa ! ;)
ps- it's a whoooole lot easier to lengthen the arm than to change the pitch on that little doo-hickey... and I haven't even thought of moving the pivot point on the actual clutch lever (the one on the handlebars) to accomplish the same thing.
