So this is where it stands for now, and will stay at least until Christmas when I can get some more bike money. I am very happy with it, in the future I want to upgrade the suspension, ss brake lines, signals, do something streetfighterish with the tail, I dont like the fairing on there, headers, Im sure I will think of something else.
So, yoshimura bolt on from gsxr750, k&n lunch box, naked with my stock F headlight, jetted 20-65-147.5 3 turns on mix screws, fenderectomy, removed some of the safety stickers, carbon look tank protector bar end mirrors

Did you have to fab up the flange to bolt the can on? Worth the work in your opinion?
I've been looking and all that the cheaper pipes I find are all bolt-on GSXR pipes. Grr. Lol, great job!
Dan
yeah I bought the bolt on thinking I could save some money, paid 30 for the gsxr header/midpipe that had the flange on it and 50 to the muffler shop to chop and weld it up for me. I am very happy with it though.
That's actually not a bad idea, where'd you pick up the mid pipe and for what year?
Dan
That looks really nice.
looks good
thanks, Im actually not sure what year the midpipe was from it was newer, I dont think it really matters though, the muffler and midpipe came off of the same bike. I think the easiest way to do it is to get one off of the R6, same size pipe I think, the gsxr pipe was very close to the same size not sure if it might have been maybe a 1/4 inch bigger or not. The shop didnt seem to have any problems installing it though had it done in under an hour.
Did you take it to a normal car muffler shop? I'd like to get a cheaper slip-on that isn't designed for the GS, but I'm worried that where it attaches to the bike might be different. Did the shop figure it all out, or did you have to do some pre-modification?
Also, how much did it cost to get it attached?
Yeah, it was a normal muffler shop, you might have to look around a bit for a bike friendly shop though, I tried about 4 before I found one that would do it and they charged me 50 bucks. They didnt have to modify anything just cut old pipe off weld new one on.
nice looking bike.
how does it sound? clips?
