I made pretty good progress last week:
-Finished carb rework
-Replaced fork springs, seals, oil
-De-rusted fuel tank
-Prepped and painted wheels
Hopefully this week:
-Valve clearance check/adjust
-Install tires
-Replace f/r brake fluid
-Install SS front brake line
Who knows, it might be rideable before the snow flies.

Well the snow flew, but I did finally brave the cold and got it back together. After a battery charge it fired right up. Surprising considering the temp was 20. It still has the idle float thing going on but not as bad. The .80 fork springs seem pretty stiff, but I'll know more when I get a chance to actually ride it. I had to do a little touch up to the wheels...rattle can paint isn't quite as tough as powdercoat.
Might as well add a pic.

Looks good!
+1 looks great man. what tires are those ? are the handle bars stock ?
rock on :)
Thanks. The tires are Michelin Pilot Activ's. Not sure if the bars are stock. The bar ends are an extra set I had for the SV. I managed to take a short ride today and I think the spring rate is fine. New tires + cold pavement was pretty interesting :icon_eek:
