Hey, this might be an easy question, but what is the best way to disassemble the steering stem to get the fork brackets on there? Or is there any other way of doing it?
Thanks,
Yev

How do I go about that?.. I have only removed my gas tank/seat/handlebars before.. So I am just trying to get the details of how to remove everything else (after removing the handlebars).

You could loosen the fork clamps and slide the forks down, then fit the brackets. First you'd have to remove the front wheel. Its all easy, would take 1/2 hour with time out for a coffee!
If you have a friend to help its very easy. Just loosen the pinch bolts on each side of the top triple and get them to hold the handlebars up while you slip the headlight brackets on or off. Its a simple 10min operation, and you dont have to mess with anything to do with forks or fine adjustments.

Do you have a picture of said pinch bolts?.. Sorry I am an ignoramus.
