Yes spectroff - did you cover your dispute with pronator about the shock ? Link here.

If not, People be very very careful dealing with this seller. In any case be careful.
Cool.
Buddha.
looks as though price went down 50% :dunno_white:

I dont care what he sells it for ... if he's going around stiffing people, I dont think 50% off is worth it.
I have 1/2 a mind to lock the guy out. I'll let pronator post and see what she has to say.
Cool.
Buddha.
Pm'ed pronator. Lets see what she says.
Cool.

Uh, yeah - this guy STILL hasn't responded. I can't believe he's still trying to sell his stuff here!
==========================================================
I'm copying my original warning below. I bought a 1999 Kat rear shock. He sent me a 1993 GS500 shock. WTF?! :flipoff: :flipoff: :flipoff:
He also screwed another KatRiders member on a headlight: http://katriders.com/vb/showthread.php?t=84326&page=4
He seems to know that the buyer will not win a PayPal dispute if the part is wrong or broken in transit because PayPal only cover items that aren't shipped. Sending something - even if wrong or broken - somehow covers his ass. :bs: PayPal will only honor an item is "significantly not as described" when the purchase is done via eBay. Trust me - I corresponded with their customer service many, many times.
He has not replied to any of my emails, PMs, or PayPal dispute messages since the end of July.
Buyer Beware!!!!!!

His member name here is Spectroff. His real name is Eric Svetcov and he's in Wilmington, NC.
Would NOT recommend anyone do business with this guy. :flipoff:
He totally screwed me over on a rear shock purchase. I bought a '99 Kat 600 shock from him (on KatRiders.com). He sent me a '93 GS500 rear shock.
I paid him immediately (2 July). He dragged his ass sending it out (9 July) and was really, really bad about responding to emails.
Then the shock arrives (16 July) and it's a f*cking old GS500 rear shock. I emailed him back, giving him the benefit of the doubt that it was an honest mistake. He admitted fault, said he'd send me the right part, messed up because he was moving, blah blah blah. I was patient, maybe even too nice...waited another week and a half but then he just stopped responding to emails and PMs.
Filed a PayPal claim and then dispute. Still haven't gotten my money back or heard from him. He hasn't logged on here in about a month but he was trying to sell a lot of Kat and GS stuff so I thought I'd give everyone a heads up. I hope he hasn't gotten anyone else!
Here are some of his more recent "For Sale" threads:

Sent him the wrong shock, agreed. Offered for him to return it, he filed with paypal. After that it was in their hands and they choose in my favor.
Didn't see all the trash talking until now. Pronator and a guy that had a headlight tab broken in shipping and got reimbursed by FedEx have been the only issues I've had with about 50 transactions. You people want to make me out like a monster, fine. This was a good deal. Lock the post.
You don't understand that this stopped being about the $21 a long time ago, do you?
I wouldn't have taken the time to post then or respond now. You didn't take responsibility for your mistake. You didn't respond to email, after email, after email. I wanted to warn other forum members about what you did.
What you wrote makes it sound like I filed a PayPal dispute as a response to your offer to return the shock. Seriously? I filed the dispute as a last resort when I hadn't heard back from you after two weeks!
People are free to do business with you. I'd just say, BUYER BEWARE. Here are screen shots of all our emails, in sequence, after I received the shock. I think any reasonable person would agree that I was more patient than most.
July 2: I paid (via PayPal).
July 9: He sent out the shock.
July 16: The shock arrived.

August 4: Sent him a Google Chat when I saw him online. No response.
August 5: Filed PayPal dispute.

At this point, I stopped sending him emails as it seemed pointless.
August 19: posted a warning on the GS forum --> http://gstwins.com/gsboard/index.php?topic=43714.0
OK spectroff -
If pronator gets the money she paid you back then I will lock and move this thread away from public reach.
If you have not paid her the $, yes please file a lawsuit. You do realise this site is a non profit site right.
OK just so you know ... good luck with that.
And stop PM'ing me - This is called feedback and every site that handles sales in the world does it. Ebay, amazon, any other ...
OK pronator - what exactly came of the paypal dispute - did he release/settle your money. If so may be time to forget this and buy yourself another shock.
Cool.
Buddha.
No, I haven't gotten my money back. If I had, I would've followed up on my posts and updated everyone.
Paypal found FOR the seller because if the part is wrong - for example, sending me a '93 GS500 shock instead of a '99 Kat 600 shock - they won't cover it.
PayPal will only cover an item that wasn't shipped if the transaction is private (i.e. from a forum).
Sending something - even if wrong or broken - somehow covers the seller. PayPal will only honor an item is "significantly not as described" ONLY when the purchase is done via eBay. Trust me - I went back and forth with their customer service many, many times.
I filed a PayPal dispute as a LAST resort. I had hoped that getting something more official than my emails would prompt him to do the right thing. Obviously, I was wrong.
Like I said, this isn't about the money anymore, though I'd be happy to get mine back. And I've already gotten another shock. I just want to give folks fair warning about my negative experience with this seller. At least they can make an informed decision.
I also didn't know he was trying to sell again until Buddha PM-ed me to see if things had been resolved.
Yes good. Thanks pronator.
Apparently he is Mad at this site because we have caught him stiffing people and he's done with the site. Or he's going to sue us for slander.
Evidently he does not know you cannot sue for slander. You can sue for libel, but only when the underlying accusations are false.
Sorry spectroff - this thread stays right where it is, and you dont have a leg to stand on.
Cool.
Buddha.
The tone of my posts was negative, but I haven't written anything that's false.
It's almost funny that he's communicating so much now* considering this is the first I've heard from him since July 23rd.
*Sorry you have to be on the receiving end of those PMs, Buddha.
I love it when crooks get all righteous ... its like watching an episode of cops ... "you dare call me a crackhead ... what's this, a lb of crack in in your pants ... pants, these aint even my pants, I want my lawyer ... " ...
Cool.
