i have an 1998 GS500E. what im wondering is, has anyone out there tried to put the front end of a 04 GS500F on one. i have been looking and the only thing im not sure of is the wireing harness working. any input please let me know

Can't see why you couldn't extend some of the wires if needed, probably only the flashers.

thats what im thinking but wasnt sure. looks like it might a wiring nightmare and might not be worth the time and effort it would take.

There are very few differences in wiring between the different year models and anyway if you put an '04 fairing on your '98 you're just going to have all '98 wiring anyway. The wiring will be the easy part.

all you need besides longer wires, the fairings, some mount holes drilled into the frame by the side of the tank on each side, more on the lower frame, the headlight, windscreen, then you need the front cowling brace, one of these:

i found all the parts i need. so this might be a good winter project
