Yes you got very lucky with the deal on that frame but doing all the paperwork and bullshit process costs more and takes longer than just buying a frame with clear title even if the frame costs over $100 plus shipping.
I got frame with title for $60 dude, a nice 05 frame too, and paid 125+ to ship it ... :mad:
shaZam! this bulky you'd have trouble giving away. I have frames, my best option is to build bikes back to bikes and selling them whole, those always are in demand.
Ebay is the great equaliser. Its brought rational thinking to a market that was controlled by wrecking yards.
I never pay over 30-40 bucks for a katana shock, why ... I always find em for that price on fleabay and my sellers know it. In fact I take printed buy it now ads along if I run into a difficult one, I am always able to get my way or I dont buy. I pay a small premium for the option of checking it for crap before buying it, which I cannot with fleabay and my sellers know it, but its never more than $5-10.
Its turned the market inside out ... no more poker faces, no more secrecy ... its like playing poker with everyone's cards face up on the table ...
Sheite is worth what ??? ... what it sells on ebay for ... if somehting is unshippable its worth a lot less ... like a seca 4 cyl motor will cost you less than a savage or a GS motor ... savage motor cost me 500, GS ~300, seca 150, why, only option for seca motor is ... local buyers ... 2-300 mile radius. My savage motor came from connecticut, my friend had to have it and he bit the bullet ... was 65 or so to ship, but atleast he got the thing and it was good.
I'd recomend scouring ebay seanathin - you have time and weather on your side and against someone who has to sell stuff ... then of course gstwin closely mirrors ebay and people here sell you good stuff for over 10% less than fleabay cos well ... they are good smart people with reason on their side, and they know they can always buy it back for the same $ and the hassle of listing it on ebay ... yea avoiding that is worth atleast 10%.

W/e floats your boat and more power to you, Im all about buying used stuff, but I do bite the bullet and spend a little extra because I know Im still making a deal, maybe not a steal but a deal where both parties are happy.
