Title: My random thoughts about motorcycling
Post by: Cozzy on October 31, 2008, 09:27:40 AM
After owning a few bikes, GS500 99, Bandit1200 01, SV1000 03, a few minor accidents on the roads, and a stloen bike, the sv1000 03. I reckon I can use the time that I do not own a bike to share my thoughts on motorcycling.

On the way to motorcycling

As dad was also a rider, he asked me to get a few years of experience of drive a car before I get a bike, after a few months of research, I brought a 99 GS500 for my first bike, even thought the bike is not in a perfect condition, I started my biking life since, after owning the bike for 11 months, I decided it was time for me to get a bigger bike, I sold the GS to a good friend and brought a 01 bandit 1200, this time I had better luck, the bike is in a really really good nick, however, it seemed my skill wasn't good enough, I dorpped the bike after riding it for about 9 months, on a local twisty that I run every Sunday morning, after fixing the bike, I sold it to a dealer and brought a 03 SV1000, which is I bike that i really like, after owning  that 6 months, the bike was stolen, as the bike is still on lease, I have to pay for a stolen bike. Now I am building a street frighter based on the  gs500 with bent fork that is given to me by a friend, the guy who brought it from me, and hoping to get back on the road.

On choosing motorcycle

As I have ridden 3 different bikes with in 2.5 years, I fond out you will enjoy everythings that you ride, if you really like motorcycling, and I totally understand what ' It isn't the bike, but the rider who ride on it count'. That is why I picked up the GS500 again, somehow, I may need to get another bike as a communter before I can finish the GS500 Streetfright.

On passion

I reckon after a few crashes, a stolen bike and I still long to buy a bike, I think this is passion. I love to ride, no matter what kind of bike at what speed, I am a daily rider ridding rain and shine, when I have a good day I ride, when I have a bad day I ride more. Because riding motorbike need full concentration, when you ride on it, the world is only you and the bike, you direct it where to go. I HATE THE PEOPLE THAT ALWAYS BLAME THE BIKE WHEN ACCIDENT DO HAPPEN. Even in a mechanical failure, it is still the responsibilty of the owner for not taking good care about it.

I reckon PASSION is, the love of doing something no matter how much pain it created, how many time it let you down.

Cozzy, you sound like a masochist. You appear to enjoy pain that is inflicted by financial misconduct or purposefully mishandling any machine that you own to induce your own physical or emotional pain. Or both. I guess that makes you a human "OR Gate"too. This "could be" sexual in nature. Your perfect mate would be a sadist.

Listen............. sigh.................get your shaZam! together.........and you need to seriously work on your "grammar skills".

(sound of gavel) ......NEXT!
