Title: Holee cow look at this thing.

Yea ... why do all these things look so pretty ... I wanna find a rat and test ride it ... so I know how mine will be with the GR motor in it.
The clowns that have pretty bikes tend to frown upon random test rides.
Cool.

you'll have to forgive me because I don't know much about motors but it doesn't look that much different than a GS motor with a 2-to-2 exhaust.  Am I missing something?

it  will fit almost perfectly. however, the gs exhaust fire straight out. while the gr exhaust, off at angles. from what the buddha says some simple fab will take care of that. something i wanna try. cept dammit, now i need another gs

M buddy has a 82 gs650g.  The engine is an i-4 but the mounting points look identical to the gs's.  Im wondering if by some chance that engine would fit in the gs frame.  Only one way to find out.  Get a gs frame and that engine, and tinker tinker tinker.

Wow! I just did some searching and I think you might be on to something there. It's supposed to have around 73hp too.

Do what you gotta do to get them right and send me the bill Buddha.
$18's fine, and what ever else it takes, just let me know.
I do miss riding, all though I still haven't had time to mess with my exhaust.

When you say "swap in something" do you mean the jets? If so, do you think the jets that were in it will work ok?
It had no loss of power, it just had that crazy popping and stuff.

I swap in diaphragms off other carbs ... like katana carbs. I dont have the 04+ diapragms now ...
Jets are all new ...
The diaphragm was glued and the top was slapped on before that glue dried, and it somehow stayed glued ... till I removed it. I cant glue as well ... so I can send it after jetting but the diaphragm out if you like, you can glue it and see.
Cool.

Nah, I'd rather not run the glue mod. If you could just do the best you can to get them right with new parts that would be great.

Thanks
