Yup, bonuses from the bailout money, 50 billion of the 125 given out so far is bonuses. We're the patsy, Paulson is the bank robber and goldmans sachs is in the getaway car, and W the moron (who said he wont sign the bailout if there was limits on executive pay) is the mastermind of the heist.

i know how the system works, having been part of it for almost ten years. it is not perfect but it is the one we have. i am running for office again in 2012 and have already begun setting the ball in play for that. this time i am running for the senate then i wish to be secretary of defence..that is my ultimate goal.

I can't think of anyone who deserves bonuses more. Their companies were teetering on the brink of complete meltdown, Enron style, and these CEOs managed to successfully lobby the government to bail them out. That's a monumental accomplishment. The fact that the bailout is funded by taxpayers is beside the point; these guys made miracles happen for their employees and shareholders.

That's an interesting point of view- and you really are right, these jerks got rich fleecing the public and they just got more rich by figuring out a new way to do it where the public couldn't say no.

even if they are hoarding the money, (which i suspect many are), with the bail-out written as it was, what recourse does our govenrment or even we the people have to punish these banks? do you propose bank robberies en masse? Nothing- we are just hosed. Really, we are more hosed because now we are all automatically signed up to pay off that 700 billion and will never get anything whatsoever to show for it. We can let our legislators know that they will pay for their lack of vision.
