Oh yea ... can be done ... you wanna pay for it ...  :cookoo: ...
I'd guess atleast 2-300+ your tank. And you have to get a vacuum operated fuel pump (you find a seca 600 it can be very cheap) and get rid of the air box.
As a bonus The crap pockets get eliminated, the tank can be undented easy and Heck I can coat it for 1/2 price too.
Not that I have thought about it too much.  :icon_mrgreen: ...
Cool.

There may bit be a cheaper way ... if you want a separate one connected with a hose though.

Not if you want fuel going in it and from it to the carbs. You will have to put it in place of the airbox but lift it up from the engine a bit for not getting hot.

You can attach it to the main tank with a 1 inch radiator hose like my virago 1100 has, and run a vacuum operated fuel pump to get fuel in the carbs. That airbox bolt holes will have to be used to keep the tank off the top of the motor too.

Cool.

No pics, it is yet to be made, its a 1 off, it will be sitting where the airbox is currently and the pic will be available when its made. I dont make and sell this BS, its a 1 off and will be made just for you. In fact I'll need your tank to start with to get it welded up with the fittings etc.
Airbox has to be tossed and a lunch box fitted in its place.

Ooo, those are very cool. These look like the way to go because you can choose to take them off if you want to go with lower weight and then put them back on easily when you need to drive a really long way without filling up...

One guy over at Sport-Touring.net modified his Bandit tank to increase the capacity. He picked up an extra tank so he can just swap tanks when he needs the larger tank. Here are some pics of his job.

OK mine will look like a coffee can has been stuffed in place of the air box ... it will look like crap, but 99% of the time you'd think its the airbox ...  :thumb:
