Title: Help me pick out new gloves
Post by: tussey on November 03, 2008, 09:44:05 PM
Cycle gear is going to replace my POS Dainese gloves for free.  I can choose any set from the following link up to $140.

I need your help.

I was looking at those. But in 100 degree weather my hands would sweat bullets. It's goretex for crying out loud. Good recommendation though. I may go try them on.

Also do you think I should demand my money back in the difference of price? I paid $140 for a shaZam! glove and now since it failed during a crash I'm being given a less expensive glove. Should I demand my $10 back or is that stingy?

i suppose you could, or maybe something else. like a bulb or two. lol. but teh goretex, hmmm not sure where you live, but protection is something which you would need. in cold weather, textile type gloves, aka freeflow ones would be essentially useless. what would be your happy medium?

you helped the company by pointing out a design and or execution flaw. they acknowledged, and proceeded to buy you a new set. asking for another $10 sounds like priming the karma pump for a deluge of no-fun.

skip the $10 request, be nice, and thank them for caring about cyclists. :)

I have the Alpinestars SMX-2's and I love them.  Good for hot weather and only $60.
