Title: 2001 GS500 Carb flush question
Post by: JMBrown on November 05, 2008, 12:29:40 PM
I'm about to flush out my carburetor and have my pilot jets cleaned... Any advise on the best manual? Is the Haynes book the way to go?

I have a Clymer and would recommend it over a Hayne's any day. They're the last company I would ever rely on for service and repair info. If you don't want a Clymer, maybe Chilton's has one for the GS. You can buy a Clymer through this link which helps the site.  :) http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0892878339/ref=nosim/gstwincom

I really like my Clymer manual. It has helped me through a number of repairs and I find it easy to understand. I was a beginner when I started working on this bike and it has been of great value.

I thought the Hanes manual is sub par. -- JIM
